Recently I purchased a pair of 6ft Silverlink balanced (XLR) cables to replace a cheap standard pair. I use the cables directly from my Gustard X16 DAC to my GaN Class-D power amplifier. The volume is controlled from the DAC.
The improvement was immediately evident; the 3D stereo image appeared larger and deeper, and also way more precise where the different instruments and voices had a very tangible position in space. Something the cheap cables didn’t even come close to. Also the overall sound balance across the whole spectrum vastly improved. Very controlled & articulate lows, clear and poignant mids, and beautifully balanced highs without any edge or sharpness. Also the manufacturing quality is impeccable. I can highly recommend these cables. The price is certainly very competitive with other brands that are out there. Well done Unity Audio!
