Unity Audio’s Cancer Fighter™ SL biwire speaker cable is hand crafted in Canada high purity oxygen free high conductivity solid copper conductors, in a litz configuration to make an aggregate gauge of 9awg for each pole at the amplifier end, and dedicated gauges for highs (15awg) and lows (11awg, marked by a contrast band) at the speaker end to maximize performance.
These cables are made to order and take approximately 8 man hours to build.
Each conductor is PVC insulated and then covered with a PVC jacket, topped off with a black/grey cotton and polyester sleeve that dampens vibrations and also prevents abrasion
The bananas and flexpin connectors are cold welded to the cable. This improves the signal flow from component to component.
Customer reviews
In my system, I can say that both the Acoustic Zen Hologram II cables and the Unity cables have more in common than they have differences. This is a good thing! The Cancer Fighter SL biwire cables do have a slightly better reproduction of vocals which was a surprise to me. Sibilance in recordings was reduced and vocal clarity was slightly improved- a very nice and welcome difference. The Unity cables really go deep into the bass region. This was a pleasant confirmation that the gauge and construction of the cables was up to the task. There is bass weight and depth there that is undeniable. My Hologram setup had a greater measured gauge but you would not have known this listening to music (where measurements don't matter!) - L.M. (Richmond Hill, ON) January 2022
