Cabinet work would easily add another $1000+.

These custom built speakers were made locally approximately 35 years ago by a person who was studying electrical engineering, and was a very good friend of the person who I'm listing them for. The owner LOVES them, and would continue to enjoy them if space permitted. They are large, and are best suited in medium to large rooms.
Built around a 3a woofer, complemented by a 4 inch dome midrange, and 2 inch ribbon tweeter. I believe the midrange and tweeter are from Fostex, but can't confirm. A 12" passive radiator is on the back of the cabinet. The builder, for reasons unknown, chose a XLR chassis mount for the speaker connector. I have replaced it with some panel mount posts from Russound which will accept a banana plug. Everything is fully function despite the visual imperfections on one woofer.
The cabinets are made of mahogany, and are VERY solid and heavy.
They currently sit on the included metal stands with sticky putty. The stands have casters for easy mobility.
